Outreach Support
Matthew's House
Matthew's House Ministry is a faith-based, nonprofit ministry that reaches out to neighbors in need, centered on the North West Side of Grand Rapids, Michigan. It's a place of support for neighbors who have no physical home, need a place for community, or need a helping hand as they work toward a life of greater stability. Matthew's House offers a place of refreshment for the body and spirit. Their mission is to show Christ's love and promote human dignity by providing access to shower and laundry facilities and walking alongside their neighbors as they transition to success.
Toys for Tots
Toys for Tots is a program run by the United States Marine Corps Reserve which donates toys to children whose parents cannot afford to buy them gifts for Christmas. The mission of the program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community in which the campaign is conducted. The stated goal is to deliver, through a new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to less fortunate youngsters that will assist them in becoming responsible, productive, patriotic citizens.
